Every step is an act of remembrance.
On the morning of September 11th, while thousands ran out, firefighters, police officers, and first responders climbed up — into the towers, toward the danger, for people they would never meet. The 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb retraces those steps.
Participants climb the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center, each climb dedicated to one of the lives lost. For our community, that means carrying the names of Middletown's 37 forward — so that a generation that never knew them still says their names out loud.
How the climb works
Climb in their name
Each participant climbs in honor of a fallen hero, carrying their name with them to the top.
110 stories
Together we ascend the height of the Twin Towers — the climb they never got to finish.
Honor & give back
